After you switch on your computer, first of all you should know that every thing the computer is doing is not beneficial. Sometimes some files come from CDs and internet (especially email). Therefore you should know to take preventive measures against viruses. Let’s have a look at what viruses actually do.
- They can send your data to a third party and then delete your data from your computer.
- They can also ruin your system and render it unusable without a re-installation of the operating system.
- The normal effect A virus will have on your system is that over time your computer will run slower.
The main preventive measures of tackling against a virus are as follows:
- Always run anti-virus software and be sure it gets updated at least twice per week.
- If you get a virus in an e-mail attachment and you are sure it is a virus, delete the e-mail message immediately.
